In this session we will be sharing with the students of the San Carlos University of Guatemala, to learn how to use Kubernetes, after the previous session we had in their class meetings. It is open to external participants to students who also want to learn.
In this session show us how to start with service meshes using Linkerd.
In this session, Sergio Méndez will demonstrate how students can learn about Service Meshes and cloud native technologies using Linkerd and Kubernetes at university. During this session, Sergio will show the USAC university project uses Linkerd for observability and multi-cluster interconnection. This real-time system called Usactar simulates comments and analytics of soccer matches based on the Qatar soccer cup. During the demo part, Sergio will show how the system works, how he observes Kafka message queues with gRPC interconnection and how he uses Linkerd for multi-cloud configuration to distribute components and data across different cloud providers.
Administrando infraestructura en Kubernetes con ArgoCD y Crossplane, Cloud Native Costa Rica, Online
In this talk, Sergio Méndez will show us how to manage infrastructure in Kubernetes using ArgoCD and Crossplane. He will explain the basics of these tools and how they integrate with Kubernetes. Attendees will learn how to install and configure these tools in their own environment and how to use their features to provision cloud infrastructure for different cloud providers. At the end, Sergio will show a small implementation of how to provision infrastructure in Google Cloud using ArgoCD and Crossplane.
In this session, Sergio Méndez help to learn about Kubernetes in order to win the KCNA certification.
In this talk, Sergio Méndez is going to talk about Internal Developer Platforms (IDP), and all the concepts around IDPs and platform engineering, and how companies can start building IDPs using ArgoCD and Github Actions.
During this talk, Sergio is going to show a small self-service implementation with ArgoCD to create Kubernetes applications using Github Actions forms to execute pipelines that create ArgoCD applications definitions that ArgoCD can use to provision applications in a Kubernetes cluster.

Can you reduce your time spent enabling development teams without risking everything?
Sergio Méndez, DevOps leader at Yalo and CNCF Ambassador joins this enlightening episode of Merging to Main and covers the trials and tribulations of creating the holy grail of DevOps, self-service GitOps.
Learn: How do you structure teams responsibilities Automate your permissions Can you do self-service at the edge? Where does an IDP or something like Backstage fit in?
In this panel, Sergio Méndez, and other KCD and Cloud Native groups organizers, discuss the importance to participate and host this events for the CNCF ecosystem.
